Brakes & Brake Systems

Maintaining your brakes is critical for your safety. Inspection of your brakes is free! Vince does not quote to replace anything that is not needed. He wants to save you money and at the same time, do an excellent job!

Vince recommends the following maintenance for your brakes:

  • Brakes should be inspected at every oil service.

  • When you hear something such as screeching or grinding when you press on the brake pedal, it’s time to have your brakes inspected. Continuing to drive on worn brakes will result in more damage that can become costly.

Engine Repair & Tune-Up

Before 1974, ignition and fuel delivery systems were mechanical. That would be points and condensers, ignition systems, and carburetors to supply fuel to the engine. These systems had to be maintained yearly for the vehicle to operate. Today’s late model fuel injected and electronically controlled ignition systems require less maintenance but can be difficult to diagnose when they are failing. Eagle Auto Repair uses the latest scan tools and service information, along with quality parts to keep your engine performing as it was designed.

A primary tell-tale indicator would be your check engine light. Other signs could be lack of fuel mileage, decreased performance, stalling, rough idle, hard to start, or not starting at all. Eagle Auto Repair follows factory recommendations for maintenance intervals and strives to keep your vehicle performing its best while considering the cost of repair.

Engine Repair or Replacement

Today’s late model engines are far less tolerant of events that older engines would sustain such as overheating, oil leaks, and overlooked maintenance intervals. Most late model engines are aluminum whereas older model engines were made of cast iron. While fuel management and delivery, as well as oils, have improved greatly, late model engines are suspect to catastrophic failure, unlike older cast iron engines. Eagle Auto Repair chooses to provide our customers with the best option for cost in repair or replacement if you experience an engine failure.

Please see the following for a few things that, if ignored, can lead to unwanted engine failure:

  • Check engine light

  • Oil leaks

  • Coolant leaks

  • Temperature gauge reading high

  • Unusual noises

  • Lack of maintenance

General Maintenance

The best money that you can spend to keep your vehicle performing well over a long period of time is in maintenance services. Primarily that is oil service, filter replacement, and fluid checks. Along with this we at Eagle Auto Repair, perform a multi-point checklist per the manufacturer’s recommendation.

We use oil as specified by the manufacturer for your specific vehicle and the maintenance records are also key in keeping your factory warranty eligible.

Electrical Diagnostic & Repair

In the past, automobiles utilized one small fuse box, a few relays, and limited circuits to perform the electrical functions necessary for your vehicle. Today, the typical automobile has up to twenty or more computers all networked together for one of up to three or four communications systems that operate all the electrical components in the vehicle. The challenges of servicing these complex electrical systems can be daunting. Eagle Auto Repair specializes in not only identifying these issues but also correcting electrical concerns that most shops cannot do.

From something as simple as a light out to as complex as an intermittent bus communication issue, Eagle Auto Repair has the skill and expertise to service your vehicle’s electrical issues.

Call Eagle Auto Repair at 248-914-3221 to service your brakes. We value our customers and would love to give you quality service!
